Message	The rods are forged, the VG has a crank girdle, its a closed deck block(meant for extreme atmospheric pressure), and its Iron....the block is BEASTLY compared to the puny VQ. The VQ is an AWESOME motor if your going NA, but for boost the VG is dyno/track proven to hold much more power.
